Category: Packaging Design
The design idea is inspired by nature. The design is a combination of different materials for a better understanding of the product with high durability and can be up to 80% environmentally friendly. This plan is a concept that has been concluded due to a lot of research and study and it is not impossible to achieve it. One of the important features of this plan is the interaction of the package design with the specific product inside it and the use of the product’s outer packaging to create a suitable platform for flower work to promote the protection of the environment and the protection of honey bees.
The packaging consists of different components and the design of the package is considered quite simple to show the nature and materials used in the packaging. This is a different packaging and presentation of honey that shows the real and natural nature of honey in small dimensions. Forest honey using wood material as a symbol of forest trees and mountain honey using light cement as a symbol of mountain stones introduce themselves.
The general packaging form is a symbol of a beehive, which consists of two parts, and the base part is used as a practical tool to make a vase. The internal packaging that presents the honey consists of a wooden or cement arch to which the honey jar is attached like a beehive that hangs on a tree or rock. This is the main idea.
A honey jar and honey spoon are placed next to the package. The honey jar can be separated from the base to be washed and refilled with honey.
The main goal has been to present a different packaging of honey to remind the natural process of honey production and support the environment and bees.

In this packaging, the designer has left a special artistic design by using various fruits, and art history (sculptures and art paintings) and combining them with animals, such as preserving the works of art left behind.
In this design, most of the artistic sculptures of the cultural history of the world have been used, of course, it should be noted that subtle changes have been made in them. In the pictures, a clear connection has been established between the creatures, selected fruits, and historical culture. But since the main theme of the packaging is the idea of preserving the ecosystem, in addition to vegetarians, wild animals (hunters) have also been used as a symbol of power in some places. According to the main message of the packaging (environmental protection), degradable packaging has been used.
Fruits have a special place in nature for all living beings, and the interaction between humans and animals can be seen in these images. Basically, one of the goals of design is to respect the ecosystem, and our consumption and lifestyle can be very important in this matter. Another goal of this project is to establish a relationship between culture and the correct way of using food resources, which is closely related to this ecosystem.

The main purpose of designing this package was to create an interactive atmosphere between you, nature, and the producer. By creating imaginary characters and entering your “inner child”, they tried to invite you to a world that you paid less attention to (the stages of coffee production and nature conservation to drink coffee). By doing this, you will pay more attention to those who produce coffee (from the time of coffee planting to the time it is poured into a cup).
The creation of these imaginary giants and their nomadic tools is to support the “environment” and consumer awareness of the difficult stages of coffee production, as well as to support people who work hard to make this product and are not seen. These revolutionary coffee characters refer to the “inner child” of humans and their imaginary world. The illustration is done with the watercolor technique. using shiny parts in the print technique will allow the packages to be more seen.
1. Revolutionary and funny giant characters sprits love and happiness in these pandemic years. 2. The relation between giant characters and their nomadic tools of coffee processing with nature, represents how care we must have to protect our environment and be aware of global warming while producing our products. 3. Wide variety of giants leaves our hands open for further designs such as animations, figures, dolls, etc.
Creating nomadic tools and nature characters like the giant’s tribe, happily working as coffee producers were a bit challenging. this kind of character has never been on coffee packs before, but the result was surprisingly awesome and everybody loves them all.

The design of Cold Brew beverage cans of Proshot coffee factory is the third part of the packaging design process of this company’s products. Proshot giants have been intertwined with the lives of those who drink Proshot coffee. They are nature themselves and friends of those who drink coffee alone or together. In the packaging designs of Proshot coffee, the life and daily activities of giants are shown. They try to communicate better with their new friends. The use of natural elements such as wood, rope, etc. in the design of the giants’ tools has made it easy for the audience to understand and communicate with the process of coffee production from the farm to the cup. In this packaging design series, each of the giants shows how to prepare cold brew coffee in their own way. Proshot Coffee company is trying to get a place in people’s hearts by using its adorable giants, and with the slogan “With me, You are not alone…” it confidently expresses the quality of its products and services, awakening the “inner child” of the citizens.

Hernuta Day Nuts
Each food has a special effect on your senses and reminds you of an event. The designer was looking for a way to create a special mind and bring the viewer with him. So, an idea was taken from the world of the unknown and to show exciting things in this different world, a character who can do exciting things was needed and he is none other than Mr. Hernuta. After that, Mr. Hernuta’s days with various nuts were formed.
The character of Mr. Hernuta is one of the unique features of this package, which has an adventure with nuts. Other features of the design are white packaging and the creation of special and different nut machines.
consuming nuts creates a lot of energy in the body and as a result, is happy. Therefore, the packaging design is done in such a way that it can transfer this energy to the viewer.
The designs are created manually and each product has its design. The designs are drawn with a pencil and executed with the same technique (black pen). Each nut is creatively equipped with a series of tools such as wheels, cameras, lights, etc.
Bro’s Coffee
Myths have always played a significant role in our lives as humans. Ancient legends have consistently provided stories and narratives that have been incredibly captivating and perpetually thought-provoking. In this packaging, the designer took into account the product names and their connection to the product’s ambiance. The use of angelic names and their association with the product was so beautifully and effectively done that it created a unique atmosphere during the design phase. Various printing techniques made the design even more mesmerizing, adding a particular allure to the store display. The specific colors related to the imagery meanings are among the other distinctive features of this packaging.
Tina Popcorns
Using sharp images and product photos is not always an effective solution in packaging design to influence customers. Understanding and awareness of the customer’s preferences are crucial in presenting suitable packaging. In this packaging, characters are employed to showcase the taste of the product. Unlike other designs, the primary focus on the packaging is the personality representing the flavor. Alongside these characters, background colors are incorporated in the packaging to enhance visibility and make a stronger impact on the viewer’s perception.

This design aims to bring the consumer closer to the product. The use of simple, clean spaces, distinct and minimalistic colors, and linear design aids the audience in better understanding the packaging. The designer sought to better illustrate the relationship between humans and animals through this design, conveying to the viewer that the presented products evoke a positive feeling. The use of youthful characters in this design signifies liveliness, enthusiasm, and freshness, highlighting their love for animals.
According to conducted research, this design style has effectively established a strong connection with the end consumer and presented intriguing challenges for them. One of the most impactful aspects of this design is the uniqueness of each package, each showcasing its distinctive narrative and story.
PAVAN PET
Simple and uncomplicated images, simple and uniform colors with high contrast are always attractive and this design is inspired by the simplicity of animal life. Uncomplicated and completely clear life.
Normally, because we humans consider pets as members of the family and like our children, packaging design is designed based on the viewer’s view of a kids. The use of characters can strengthen the relationship with the viewer and create an attractive environment color. As a result, the packaging has better visibility and better communication.
Pet food packaging is completely conventional packaging and is not particularly complicated. What distinguishes this packaging is the use of colors and a simple form in its design.
SALIZ Chicken
Saliz Chicken is one of the renowned brands in the southern region of Iran. In the packaging design of this brand, the aim was to use simplicity as much as possible. Through understanding and studying our customers, we concluded that a face-to-face connection could be influential. Therefore, in the design, the character of a clean white chicken is used, winking at its customers, attempting to establish a friendly and good relationship with the audience.
This design posed a challenge because, in this industry, there’s a tendency to be much more cautious in communication with customers.

The design is tailored for a specific audience: parents of children. The designer aims to showcase the freshness of the product by using vibrant and fresh fruit images. Incorporating a wooden texture in the background indicates a rustic wooden crate where the fruits are stored. This design endeavors to convey the freshness of the product to the customer, specifically targeting parents seeking wholesome fruit options for their children.
DAITY GALAXY Dessert
The design is inspired by the fantasy world of children. In the illustrations, each child imagines himself in the same world according to the taste of his favorite fruit. The design of children’s world needs to know their spirit, and for this design, necessary research has been done and children’s mentality has been used.
The packaging design is related to a dessert drink in different fruit flavors. According to the design, it is clear that this design is specially designed for children. The harmony between the designs is clear in different flavors and they all have a rhythm with stunning and attractive and sharp colors. The hair of the characters is drawn upwards in a special way so that it is shown like the product inside the package and directs the movement of the eye towards the name and type of dessert.
The happy and carefree colors used in this packaging and the cartoon characters and its fantasy-dreamy atmosphere play a very important role in communicating visually with children. The attractiveness of color is the key tool of this packaging for better interaction and impact.
VENITTA Coffee
The idea for this work came when some people were reading a book while drinking coffee. The faces of these people were very impressive. They were so focused on the story of the book as if they themselves had become a part of that book. This point led to a focus on stories that have been very famous and influential.
Stories have always been fun for us, especially while drinking a cup of coffee. The indicator of this packaging is the stories that bring memories to the viewer and make him think and repeat a part of that old and memorable story in his mind. The purpose of this work is to promote reading and to thank the authors who have kept our souls alive with their writings. And a challenge for the viewer to either read or follow those stories.
Stories that have a common language between all cultures are the key to this project. Reading the stories of successful authors always creates an interaction between the outside world and the inside of people, and it is very important to focus on these stories, which can be done by holding a cup of coffee.

The client required a modern and simplistic space with a direct reference to the product in this design. This project holds several key points:
Firstly, since the product hadn’t been produced yet, all cookie images were illustrated as paintings. Secondly, modern patterns were utilized in the design, attempting to mimic the shapes of the cookies. Colors were carefully chosen and underwent extensive consideration. The product name was presented in classic handwriting to aim for showcasing the producer’s experience in production and connection with the consumer within a modern design context.

Rosewater Package
In this packaging, special attention has been paid not only to the design but also to the packaging structure. The bottle shape is adorned with rose branches, and the bottle cap resembles a rosebud. The color of the bottle also plays a significant role in the product’s identity. The label on the bottle is designed classically and stands out among the rose branches on the bottle. The box design mirrors that of the bottle. Intertwined stems along with delicate flowers on a white background make the box design more visually appealing.
The box bottle design incorporates white at the top section and green at the bottom section to double the sense of freshness and naturalness of the product.

What are the essential skills and competencies for a successful packaging designer?
Research and analysis:
Packaging designers rely on analyzing the product and aligning it with design ideas to meet audience needs. Research aids in perfecting ideas and satisfying both audience and customer requirements. Understanding the target market is crucial for this process. Completing thorough research is key to achieving desired results and resonating closely with the audience’s perceptions, harmonizing design with the presented product.
Creativity and innovation:
Packaging design requires creativity and uses different elements to present a unique product. There are several effective factors for making attractive packaging:
- Product goal alignment: The plan should reflect the main goal of the product.
- Customer-oriented approach: understanding customer needs and preferences is very important.
- Color, art and inspiration: the use of colors, patterns and artistic elements to the packaging makes it more attractive.
- Functionality: Beyond visual appeal, packaging should be practical and user-friendly. (simplicity, product protection, and ease of transportation)
- Innovation and distinctiveness: adding value and differentiating the product from competitors is essential.
Technical and practical skills:
If you want to be a successful packaging designer, you should consider some important points: 1. Be sure to master design-related software for design and final output. 2. Based on your knowledge of executive materials, start designing the packaging. 3. Your ideation should be as close as possible to the final execution. 4. Try to perform it before the final performance (either as a 3D rendering or a real performance with original materials). This work happens when you have sufficient knowledge of the materials and materials necessary to implement your packaging. 5. Further your studies in the field of materials. 6. Have a complete and sufficient familiarity with all types of printing and colors.
Communication and collaboration:
In this context, try to understand the words of the employer and listen well. Try to understand the product and its relationship with the customer well. Put yourself in the audience’s place and understand his needs. Communicate with them and listen to both. Share your work with the audience and get their opinions. Get help from those who know better. Before designing the packaging and ideation, solve a problem for yourself. And that is, apart from being beautiful and different, your packaging should be able to sell. You must understand the competitive advantages of the product and use it in your packaging design. Study the target market. Identify the competitors and analyze the packaging position in the market. Check buyer performance. See the product showcase. After the initial analysis and research, get ready for creativity and ideas.
What are some of the common printing challenges and pitfalls that packaging designers face?
Color accuracy:
A designer should have enough knowledge about how to print his packaging design. He should always keep his screen calibrated. and know the basic principles of printing. Rotogravure printing or paper label printing or… The first principle in packaging design is to create a profile in harmony with the printing house. Adequate knowledge of codes can be very important. The numerical combination of colors is very important. Before printing, he should have the standard printing of his work, and during printing, it is better to be with the printing supervisor.
Resolution and scaling:
The resolution of the final design is different according to the type of printing. Before starting the design, you should either have detailed information about it, or you should coordinate with the printing house where your work will be printed. This issue is different in digital printing or offset or rotogravure or…
Alignment and registration:
This is a sensitive issue. Aligning colors and designs in the final output is a specialty. If you do not have the experience of this work, be sure to coordinate the pre-printing steps with your printing house. If you have this expertise, software like Esko can be very useful and help the design a lot in the final draft process.
Finishing and materials:
